Much of the content was centered on introducing grantees to the Participant Support Lifecycle which aims to help Nursing Expansion grantees gain a comprehensive understanding of their participants’ journeys.
The Nursing Expansion Institute was held over the course of three days. Below are the slide decks from the Day Three presentations and any handouts provided during the sessions.
Day 3
- Session 1A Track 1 Using Data to Measure Success and Accelerate Progress: The performance team presented highlights from the data in the recently submitted Track 1 Quarterly Performance Reports to describe the overall impact of the Nursing Expansion grant program during its first year. You will be introduced to the scorecard, a customized tool to be distributed to each grantee quarterly that can be used to help monitor progress, check for participant lifecycle loss points, and make course corrections.
- Session 1B Track 1 Action Planning and Next Steps: Track 1 grantees will meet with a TA facilitator and, based on information shared throughout the Nursing Expansion Institute, identify key action items and next steps.
- Session 2A Track 2 Action Planning and Next Steps: Track 2 grantees will meet with their TA coaches and, based on information shared throughout the Nursing Expansion Institute, identify key action items and next steps.

- Session 3 Closing Plenary, Imaging the Future - DOL's Vision for the Nursing Expansion Grants: Hear from ETA Leadership and the DOL Chief Evaluation Office about how the Nursing Expansion grants tie into administration priorities such as the sectoral strategy ideology, as well as how some of these priorities are amplified in the five-year grantee evaluation.
