Nursing Expansion H-1B PIRL 2025 v 1.1 (released January 6, 2026)
This file contains the approved list of data elements Nursing Expansion grantees are required to collect on their participants and their corresponding code values. It also contains the validation rules the reporting system uses to check data files for errors.
H-1B Grants Performance Reporting & WIPS Guidance Handbook (Track 1 and 2 versions)
This handbook provides reporting requirements for DOL Nursing Expansion grants; guidance and instructions for using the H-1B PIRL; definitions and calculations for the performance outcome measures; instructions for submitting quarterly reports; and performance reporting policy applicable to the Nursing Expansion grants. Attachments include a glossary, a master list of PIRL data elements, and more.
Performance Reporting Orientation Series
The performance reporting orientation series provides an overview of the key concepts and processes related to quarterly performance reporting for the Nursing Expansion grant. The training series:
- summarizes reporting instructions and policies
- provides tips and best practices for reporting participant data and writing narrative reports
- describes the technical process for submitting reports in the reporting system, and
- explains how your participant data is related to your grant outcomes.
