Performance Reporting Orientation 2026: New H-1B Reporting Requirements for Nursing Expansion Grants
Starting with the quarter ending March 31, 2026, Nursing Expansion grantees are required to report using a new version of the Participant Individual Record Layout (H-1B PIRL 2025). Changes in the PIRL will streamline reporting and make it easier and more intuitive to report participant data and achieve grant outcomes. However, all grantees will need to prepare their data and data files for the transition.
Important Note: Beginning April 1, 2026, Nursing Expansion grantees began using the H-1B PIRL (Participant Individual Record Layout) 2025 to report performance data. The information presented in this resource was prepared prior to the transition to the H-1B PIRL 2025. Principles and concepts still apply, but information related to specific PIRL data elements or the QPR (Quarterly Performance Report) may no longer be accurate. Refer to the PIRL 2025 community page for details about the changes and impacts.
